It is a process that uses presses of different weight to shape corners, curves and edges on the pieces, using special blades and cavities.

The term calendering, in relation to sheet metal, indicates the process through which the sheets are moulded into conical or cylindrical shapes, such as pipes, ferrules, metal ducts, metal rings, tanks.

This transformation takes place thanks to the calender machine that allows the passage of the metal sheets through three or more parallel axle rollers. Depending on the distance and the curvature of the calender rollers, objects can be obtained in a variety of different shapes – from cylindrical to conical – and in different thicknesses.
